This arrangement starts with a slow funeral dirge before launching into an upbeat and joyful parade-style march. The first part gives you space for some mournful improvisation of the melody and harmonies before the march tempo which is the melody arranged twice.
This flexible arrangement is 88 written measures long and includes an exuberant two-chorus soli section for the four main horns. Intermediate level of difficulty—any good high school-level group ought to be able to pull this off with no problem.
