Description
It’s Worth A Try was composed and arranged specifically for jazz sextet by Rich Willey when he was a graduate student at the Manhattan School of Music in 2001 and studying with the great Mike Abene.
This modern-sounding Latin/rock tune is a standard head chart (play arrangement, blow solos, play same arrangement again to end).
Medium to advanced level of difficulty mostly due to the chord changes. Tempo: ♩ = 132.
Parts for trumpet or alto sax 1, alto sax or tenor sax 2, tenor sax or trombone 3, and rhythm section (we refer to this as “Flextet” instrumentation) come in a PDF that you’ll be able to download immediately upon submission of your order.
