Take No Prisoners arranged for Jazz Dectet ♫ by Rich Willey
$40.00
This was originally intended to be an opener, written for Maynard Ferguson’s Big Bop Nouveau and was later arranged for 17-piece big band with guidance from Mike Abene.
A few years later this seven-horn reduction was prepared for a concert and this ten-piece chart has been longing to be played again ever since.
Description
This was originally intended to be an opener, written for Maynard Ferguson’s Big Bop Nouveau, so you might want to try it as an opener.
Tempo is ♩=220, 198 written measures. Difficulty level is intermediate to advanced. Between the challenge of a brisk tempo and the soli section that requires piano, bass and guitarists to play single-note lines, this leans toward an advanced level of difficulty.
Parts come in a PDF file that you will be able to download immediately after your order is processed.
Written solos for any of our charts may be special ordered at a reasonable cost. Email us through our contact page with any and all inquiries.
Here are a couple of sound clips from a live performance (part of the head and part of the soli):
